loosing weight

I have a very hard time losing weight because of lack of exercize. Diabetis has caused my legs from the knees down to be totally numb but yet burns like crazy and so if I walk much I tend to fall and live alone so afraid to do much of anything..Does anyone else have this problem or any help?
